miraDry is an effective and guaranteed treatment for the reduction of excessive underarm sweating. Average reduction in underarm sweating exceeds 80% per patient. Other areas including the hands, feet, or forehead can not be treated at this time.
Your MIRADRY CONSULTATION
Your consultation and evaluation will begin with a discussion of who you are and why you are interested in the benefits of the miraDry treatment. We want to know what other treatments that you have tried and we will try to reinforce to you the obvious benefits of this treatment option.
YOUR COSMETIC NURSES
Your consultation will be with one of our cosmetic registered nurses. You are in excellent hands as Katy, Mel, and Angie have each been treating patients at Aesthetica for over 6 years.
PREPARATION FOR YOUR TREATMENT
There are very few instructions prior to to your actual treatment. These include shaving your underarms prior to your visit and avoid deodorant the morning of your treatment.

THE TREATMENT ROOM
We make every effort to make your treatment as comfortable as possible. You can expect to spend about an hour with us. We have equipped the treatment room with a spa bed and a large screen TV equipped with YouTube and Netflix. Or if you simply want to close your eyes and relax, you can choose your own music from Alexa Amazon Music.
GETTING STARTED
Once you are comfortable, the nurse will draw out the areas to be treated. A temporary tattoo template is placed to help map out the are of treatment. An anesthetic is then injected over the area. Don’t be afraid… even a teenager can do it. See her video.
YOUR MIRADRY TREATMENT WILL TAKE ABOUT 30 MINUTES
Each arm will take about one hour to treat. The procedure is not painful because of the anesthetic. Apply ice for the next 24 hours.
To make your time with us comfortable, we have made your treatment room as comfortable as possible, equipped with a large screen TV so that you can take your mind off of your miradry treatment. No kids, no husband, no chores, just quiet… Or watch TV, listen to a your Alexa music playlist, or read a book. Your choice.
A bell will signal the end of your procedure.
WHAT TO EXPECT
AFTER TREATMENT
EXPECT SWELLING
Expect swelling that can last a few days. The swelling is not dramatic enough to prevent you from normal daily activities after the first day. Ice immediately for 24 hours.
WHEN WILL YOU SEE RESULTS AFTER MIRADRY
You should expect to be nearly sweat free within a few days.
WHEN WILL YOU BE ABLE TO RESUME NORMAL ACTIVITIES
You may shower on the same day. The area might be sore but not unbearable.
